In August of 2019, exactly seven weeks after getting married, my husband and I packed up our apartment in Windhoek, Namibia, hopped on a 17-hour flight and relocated to New York, New York – The city so nice they named it twice!
I was beyond excited, I literally saw all of my Sex and the City dreams materialising right before my eyes… little old me getting to do the job I love, in one of the most amazing cities in the world, with the love of my life. I remember feeling so blessed, so privileged, so inspired and just so motivated.
Fast forward about ten months later, we’ve settled into our apartment, into our work and are in the process of creating our own little bubble of friends and fun in this exhilarating city.
Moving over 11 000 km’s across the world is no easy feat, much less for a young, newlywed couple. This blog will hopefully give you guys a glimpse into what that experience has been like for me, and also a platform to share the fun things we do and discover while we are here!
